Captivating Gouache Seascapes: Luminosity, Blending & Textures is a hands-on gouache painting class designed to help you harness the full expressive range of this versatile medium. Through three stunning ocean projects, you’ll learn how gouache can behave like watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint - each approach unlocking a new way to paint the sea.

You’ll create three beautifully distinct seascapes, each focusing on a different technique set:

1. Gouache as Watercolor - Lapping Ocean Waves

Create a soft, serene beach scene using translucent washes and gentle gradients. You’ll learn how to blend blues seamlessly, shape rolling foam, and build atmosphere with subtle diffusion - capturing that dreamy shoreline fade from water to sand.

2. Gouache as Acrylic - Sparkling Sea

Paint a vibrant sunset seascape filled with bold colors and shimmering reflections. With opaque layering techniques, you’ll build crisp horizon lines, glowing skies, and broken light dancing across the water. This project focuses on confident brushwork and high-contrast effects.

3. Gouache as Oil Paint - Crashing Wave

Using smooth, blended strokes and textural accents, you’ll sculpt a dynamic wave curling into a glowing tunnel. You’ll learn how to build volume, movement, and energy in the water - capturing depth, highlights, and the powerful motion of the sea.
