watercolor, landscapes

I am a watercolor artist with a focus on realistic, soft, neutral paintings that fit many styles. I currently live in North Dakota with my husband and our 4 children. My husband is in the Air Force, and we have moved several times during our marriage, and will likely move at least once or twice more before he retires. I have always loved art, and started with pencil drawings when I was in high school. Over the years, I experimented with acrylics and oils before trying watercolor about 6 years ago. I originally tried watercolor out of necessity; it was easier to leave and come back to when a child needed me, as opposed to acrylics and oils. I fell in love with what watercolor could do. I love the softness of the colors and the way the paints move with the water. Regardless of what the final product looks like, the process of creating and painting with watercolors is relaxing for me. It helps reduce stress, and I like the idea of teaching watercolor to help others find out if watercolor can be a relaxing, stress relieving activity for them as well.
