I'll teach you how to create paintings from photos you took on your own travels!

It's time for some art myth busting...

  • Myth: Painting takes natural talent

Wrong! With some guidance and practice, you can paint stunning landscapes no matter your art background or prior experience!

  • Myth: It takes hour of practice to become a painter

While many professional painters have honed their craft from years of practice, this doesn't mean you can't learn how to paint for fun and still create some amazing paintings!

  • Myth: You have to be a "creative person" to try a creative hobby

Not true! Just because you don't considered yourself naturally creative doesn't mean you can't explore the benefits and fun of painting! In fact, I'll show you how you can us photos you took as references for your paintings!

So, there you have it. You don't need to be a professional painter, set aside hours of practice, or even be a creative person to get into painting!

This class will guide you through everything you need to know to get started on your artistic journey.

And since it is 100% online and go at your own pace, you can work through it one module at a time!

Meet Your Teacher

I'm Rachel Wood

Abstract Painter and Commission Artist

She started drawing in high school and carried her budding interest to an art minor in college while she majored in nursing. After leaving the nursing field, she began painting more and that was when she first discovered her love of abstraction and color.

In 2020, she picked up the paintbrushes full-time and started creating work out of her spare room. Before too long, she had the opportunity to start creating artwork for local businesses and private clients. Rachel loves working with people to bring together her artistic skills with your vision to fill those empty walls!

Absolutely! This class is geared towards anyone who simply has an interest in painting.

Acrylic paints, which are less expensive than oils, generally more accessible and dry much faster.

Nope, just a small 12-set of acrylic paints, a few small paint brushes and some watercolor paper.

You certainly could, but it is not required. All these supplies could be found online at dickblick.com or at places like Michaels.
